I felt shamful being a Chinese - 2008/03/23 08:48 I was influenced by my father saying that Dali Lama tortured the poor Tibetans. I was told that the Chinese came into Tibet and free the Tibetans. My mother ever told me that Dali Lama has a wife? I always believe what my parent told me and I know nothing much about Tibet until I get to know my husband.

I've ever worked together with the mainland Chinese. I would say it is not easy to work with them. A lot of times I have no idea what are my bosses (the Chinese) thinking... All the darker sides were hidden by them. As I was new I did not have enough evidence to support myself they 'kicked me' around in the company.

I want to China for tour, the people in China cheats and shouts.
China has a history and Culture of 5000 years. The Chinese in China love to show off their culture and blow big about themselves. However I don't see anything good about them.

I went to Bhutan for tour. Bhutan is a lovely country also one of my favorites countries. The culture is just like Tibet. Sad to say Tibet's culture has been destroyed by the Chinese. I watched videos, documentaries and read books on how the Chinese tortured the Tibetans. The ways the Chinese torture the Tibetans were the same as how the Japanese tortured the Chinese during World War 2. I personally feel, China has no right to make Japan apologies because the Chinese were doing the same thing to the Tibetans.

After all... the China Chinese sucks! I felt shameful being a Chinese!

The recent news about how the Chinese shop houses were burned in Tibet, I felt this is what the Chinese disserved and this is their Karma!

Mr. Wen has no evidence to prove who cause the fire and simply put blames on Dali Lama. Who they have chatched? Some ordinary Tibetans and monks?

Tibet has been ruling by China for so many years yet this can happen.

I just wish to come in this forum to voice out my view...

Re:I felt shamful being a Chinese - 2008/03/27 12:07 Dearest Spring!

Don't carry anger with you and against your origins...It's obviously not your fault and on my humble opinion you should look at what you've done in your life...
As you told us you've been brainwashed by your parents and thought they were right, without asking yourself if they were cheating or something.
Well, let's say that sooner or later TRUTH comes out and you've discovered it! But you've done "researches", you've looked for the truth, because you wanted to KNOW...
That's a big and a deep change, for people often doesn't want to know the truth or worse doesn't bother to know...
But we're all given a MIND, a brain that sometimes (not always works and we should ask ourselves questions, we should be curious about anything in the world.
But please don't feel anger or you'll play their game! and we don't want that! We should wake China up about what's happening in Tibet and about the other minorities and about the Chinese living conditions as well...they don't have press, speech, worship freedom...Is that a "Republic"?????

Big hugs!
