Tibetans do not need Injis ! - 2008/02/14 13:28 After my negative experiences in Munich I have discussed this problem with many of the leading Tibetans in the freedom movement. A detailled description of what I call " the Munich situation " can be read in :

Phayul, Message Forums, Issues & Causes under the title:

Tibetans do not need Injis !!

Through this discussion I have realized that this poses a real problem to the Tibetan Exile Community and it is a controversial point that has to be dealt with.

The freedom movement has to be led by Tibetans that make the decisions, filter out the " wrong " people and control and monitor all finances. A tremendous amount of money is being made through donations and at least some amount of this money must be divided among the Tibetans in exile to get them into a situation where they can put all their energy into the movement.

Exile tibetans are the voices of those in Tibet that are waiting in silence

Another advantage of Tibetan-Led Support Groups would of course be the increase in communication between the scattered groups which would make the movement stronger.

If the situation stays as it is a free Tibet will be overrun by Injis that believe they have a right to be there because the led the Tibetans to freedom.

The picture above sends the wrong message to people that have no idea what this is all about...and that is the majority. An Inji up front, a Tibetan woman with a german Flag....behind the Tibetans...no pictures of the Dalai Lama or Karmapa.

Everybody knows the Dalai Lama...but many of them have never made the connection between HH and Exile-Tibetans.

Only Tibetans can tell the story.
Only Tibetans can save their identity and culture.

Only Injis that are willing to support without any personal gains through the movement will follow Tibetan leaders. Those Injis that see this is a problem should not be in the movement !

Hand the power of leadership to the Tibetans and things will immediately improve. The movement will become what it should always have been !

Love and respect...FREE TIBET

Re:Tibetans do not need Injis ! - 2008/03/31 13:47 ...this attidude at this critical point of the movement for free tibet is contraproductive, looks like the writer itself is on powertrip, afraid of loosing power he doesn't have....a pitty, we should be happy for all sentient beings giving their interest and efforts to help t the tibetans, because we are not only looking for tibetan wellfare, but for the wellfare of all living beings on this planet, therefore we try to find peace with china so that it can be an example for a peaceful way of living for all the beings. its not a matter of nations, we are all universal beings in process of learning to take responsibilities for each other. forget about polarisations like injji tibetans, and so on....it makes the movement weak....hope to reach your heart, sempa chembo du

Re:Tibetans do not need Injis ! - 2008/03/31 14:42 I completely agree with you, Freedom!
It's very important not to separate the STRONG power that human beings have when they're focused on a subject altogether, e.g. The Tibetan cause. I can see that Tibetans have -all the rights- to be on the very first step, but we don't have to forget that hundreds of people thoughout the world are putting their energy, time, effort and money on this important cause.
We all want what Tibet -and not only Tibet- deserves.
Being closed and negative generates closeness and bad actions...and so on, like a whirl. a dark whirl turning over and over. We should BREAK the chain, shouldn't we?
And after, after all: we are nothing without others, I mean without the other human beings!

Much,much & much LOVE!
Alessia
